Zinc Launches Health Mission at BMA House

Published: 18 Oct 2017

Zinc, a new venture looking to solve the developed world’s toughest social issues, held the launch of their first mission at central London venue, BMA House.

The focus of the ‘mission’ is to ‘improve women’s and girl’s mental health’. The event was held in BMA House’s flagship space, the Great Hall. With over 300 guests in attendance, the event was a huge success.

Julia Ross, Head of Operations at Zinc said: “We were very pleased with the turnout for our first event; it was great to see so many likeminded individuals engaging and getting involved with the discussion of mental health. BMA House was the perfect choice of venue for us as its location is so central and accessible, and we know the events team share similar values as Zinc, such as focusing on ethical practices and overall wellbeing, which is something really important to us.”

Sarah Franczak, Head of Events at BMA House said: “As a venue, BMA House is focused on everything concerning health, wellness and sustainability, so Zinc and all that it stands for is something we feel incredibly passionate about. We were thrilled that they chose to host this exciting and incredibly topical event at our venue.”

Zinc is on a mission to transform women and girls’ mental and emotional health though fresh and disruptive approaches. This is their first mission, with many more to follow, focusing on different social issues.

BMA House has recently been awarded gold in the Green Tourism award. The Grade II listed venue in Bloomsbury offers 29 spaces for up to 320 guests, from top of the range video conferencing board rooms to the Great Hall which takes 160 cabaret, 294 theatre or 200 for dinner. This also includes two magnificent outdoor areas - the Courtyard and the Garden, all within easy walking distance of both Euston and Kings Cross stations.
