The MOBO Awards stand as a vibrant celebration of talent and culture; a real highlight of the British music calendar. This year marked the 26th edition of the awards and it was an honour for the Crowne Plaza Royal Victoria to be chosen as the inaugural host in Sheffield for the VIP pre-award reception.
Collaborating closely with Marketing Sheffield and the MOBO team, the Crowne Plaza welcomed over 600 guests for an exceptional dinner, drinks and service. They were indulged with an array of dishes catered to diverse dietary needs. Food included succulent jerk chicken thighs with coconut rice, tantalising tandoori cauliflower florets and delicious Moroccan beef meatballs with ras el hanout rice. No effort was spared in curating a menu that not only met the high standards of the hotel, but also resonated with the essence of the MOBO Awards.
4 of the largest rooms, the Ballroom, the Assembly room, the Waverley room and the Restaurant, were utilised on the day for the event. This allowed for seating of over 700 people with buffet stations in every room. Music of all the nominated artists for the night provided by MOBO played throughout the various spaces.
