After a three year hiatus, we gathered in the Brooklands Suite for our annual Awards Ceremony & Party with much to celebrate. This is our chance to recognises the successes of the year and shine a light on some of our stand out team players. Everyone at Brooklands Hotel is part of the Make It Exceptional ethos and we wanted to celebrate some notable Team Players achievements this year.
The theme for the party was ‘Black & White’ and everyone looked absolutely amazing as did the Brooklands Suite, which is our largest room for meetings, conferences, dinners & parties. Huge thanks to Arabella Events Hire for transforming the Brooklands Suite into a glamorous party suite and for the amazing balloon arch.
Piotr, Vera, Cristina, Chris, Jo, Jonalyn, Carlos, Kay & Jessica were all recipients of a Make It Exceptional Award. Ceri & Filippo were recognised for their commitment to the ‘Make It Green’ initiative which is launching soon. Shane was awarded Manager of the Year and Davide got a Recognition Award for his work in Guest Relations. Salesperson of the Year was awarded to Nicole, our Meetings, Events & Reservations Sales Manager. Emma, Brian and Kailea were all recognised for their contribution to the whole team as newcomers to the business in 2022.
We have a ‘star card’ system to reward our Team Players throughout the year using a league table. At the end of the year, the number of stars is totted up for the Front of House departments, the Back of House departments and overall. This years Front of House Team Player of the Year was Bart, who consistently receives wonderful feedback for his amazing massages in BSpa. Our Back of House Team Player of the Year was Marjan, who many of our guests will never have seen as he is part of the Maintenance Team so works behind the scenes to make sure everything at the hotel is in good working order. The overall Team Player of the Year was Ornella, one of our BSpa therapists, who like Bart, consistently receives excellent feedback from guests for her facial and body treatments.
Once all of the awards had been handed out and the raffle prizes drawn, the party really started when everyone hit the dancefloor! Having our annual awards ceremony in January means that we are able to celebrate the success of the year that has just finished but also start the year motivated to continue to build on the achievements made.
We will continue to strive to Make It Exceptional for all of our guests in 2023 and we look forward to welcoming you to Brooklands Hotel.
