what our customers say

Kate Magee (Business Development Executive), Finlayson Media Communications
"I think the fact that we chose the Athena to launch the National Dentistry Awards, one of our most prestigious and definitely our largest event in the diary says it all and, as we are celebrating our 3rd consecutive year there this December only hi-lights how pleased we are with the excellent customer service, the organisation at the venue and the execution of the event itself. A stunning venue with great staff that I would recommend whole-heartedly!"
Costa Philippou (Business Development Manager), Medi-Link East Midlands
"The Athena was a great venue for our annual event. What made it outstanding for us was the service that the staff provided during the planning and execution phases. Not only did they assist us with advice and suggestions, but also applied all their resources to ensuring that the event ran smoothly. Great venue...fantastic staff!"
Fay Richards (Project Manager), Mortgage Advice Bureau
"The staff could not have been more helpful, with most of them dressing up in costume to match the theme of the night and each member, from the chefs to the bar staff, was extremely accommodating and supportive to each and every person in the 500-strong attendance.
The night ran smoothly without any problems thanks to the professionalism of the staff and, for the first time ever, we are already planning for our return next year!"
Leah Shafik (Bid Manager), Interserve
"The Athena has been the only venue we have considered for our Annual Charity Ball. The staff are fantastic, the management always very keen to help and make sure the event is run smoothly and the food is top class! Our organization now considers the Athena as their only Midlands based venue to use for any large events"
Iain Patton (Chief Executive), EAUC
"The Athena was an excellent venue to showcase all the sustainability initiatives being undertaken by the
tertiary education sector... The food on the night was outstanding and we have received a lot of praise
from guests – especially those with dietary needs - with one saying it is the “best food they have ever
eaten at an Awards Ceremony”
! It was a pleasure to work with a team who “get it” and helped us offer a
locally sourced, sustainable menu and delivered a high quality dinner on the night – thank you."
