Destination Champion

What is a Destination Champion?

We believe that the best way to add value to our clients is to understand their requirements and recommend destinations and venues based on our own personal knowledge. We are curious and want to see what’s new and we aim to visit our key destinations a least once a year and review over 15 venues in each location.

Barcelona

Barcelona is warm, dynamic, welcoming and full of Spanish flair! It is a professional conference destination yet offers an element of fun at the same time!

Why I would recommend Barcelona

I would recommend this location for conventions, conferences and also incentives. It has excellent connections across Europe and worldwide too from El Prat Airport but also Reus and Girona for the budget airlines.

Key Attractions

Attractions in Barcelona include the beach, La Rambla, Sagrada Familia, Mount Tibidabo, The Gothic Quarter, Park Guell. The Grand Prix normally takes place around May when you will see prices rise, and of course this is a popular holiday destination in the summer.

Infrastructure and Transport

The nearest airport is El Prat which is located 16km outside the city, Girona and Reus are just over an hour away. Barcelona Sants is the main railway station including national and regional links. Public transport options include the Metro, FGC, Tram and bus. But you could just as easily rent a bike or grab a taxi. It is very easy to navigate the public transport system and also very reasonable, there is electronic ticket machines at most stations. Taxis are quite expensive.

Excursions

Barcelona is the base camp for exploring Catalonia in which you will find many attractions including the cities of Girona and Sitges. You will finds many wineries, Jazz festivals, skiing and more beaches!
