Warsaw is situated in the centre of Europe, on the intersection of communication routes connecting the West with the East and the North with the South of the Continent. A combination of Communist-era buildings and neo-classical palaces, Warsaw has restored and retained its architectural character even though 80% of it was destroyed in WWII. The Old Town of Warsaw has been listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site. Frederic Chopin International Airport is located 6 miles from the centre of the city. It houses most of the branches of international airlines. Warsaw has three big railway stations for international and trains.
