Destination Champion

What is a Destination Champion?

We believe that the best way to add value to our clients is to understand their requirements and recommend destinations and venues based on our own personal knowledge. We are curious and want to see what’s new and we aim to visit our key destinations a least once a year and review over 15 venues in each location.

Dubai

Dubai is a destination like no other, where else can you stay in a beach front hotel, dine at world-class restaurants, shop in a traditional Arabian souk or an ultra-modern shopping mall, go skiing in the desert, look out from a view from the world’s tallest building or go on a memorable desert adventure in a jeep or on a camel – all in the same place? It has guaranteed all year round sunshine with everything you could possibly want for a conference, whether that’s state of the art technology or relaxation after the conference has ended on one of the many outside event spaces that are available. Dubai has everything!

Why I would recommend Dubai

Dubai is unlike any middle-eastern destination you will ever visit. It is not somewhere you have to worry about visiting due to political unrest or the crime situation. In fact, Dubai is a luxurious city destination offering a contrast of east meets west, where the traditional and modern blend in harmony. The best time to visit is during the cooler time of the year. This is from October to May where the average temperature is about 24C. However, during June to September when most people tend to visit the temperature is extremely hot but then everywhere is air-conditioned so you have to limit your outside activities.

Key Attractions

Dubai has everything good from around the world, from a multitude of ultra-modern and exciting shopping malls - that boast attractions such as an indoor ski-slope and one of the world’s largest aquariums - resulting in a dining and entertainment experience like no other. It has the fountains from the Bellagio in Vegas, the world’s tallest hotel in JW Marriott Marquis and the world’s tallest structure in Burj Khalifa.

Infrastructure and Transport

Dubai’s geographical location makes it easily accessible from all over the world. Direct flights are available from every continent. More than 120 airlines connect Dubai to over 200 destinations with most flights from Europe, Asia, the Indian subcontinent and parts of Africa lasting less than six hours. This has resulted in a city that is cosmopolitan in nature and rich in culture. Taxi from Airport - Automatically starts at 20-30 AED on the meter. This is normal as all taxis will charge you this if going from the Airport to the Hotel. If you wish to avoid this charge you can use the metro to the nearest place to your hotel and then take a taxi, hence avoiding this charge. Generally the taxis are cheap to use and you will always see the meter so cannot ever be overcharged. Nice little web site to calculate your journey costs anywhere in the world.

Excursions

So many activities to choose from, almost anything goes in Dubai! From 4x4 Desert Safari’s, camel rides, sand boarding, great alternative to snowboarding, dhow or bateaux dinner cruises, dolphin experiences, 40 minute seaplane flights, Aquaventure park & The Lost Chambers at Atlantis, Ski Dubai, Skydiving without having to jump out of a plane, Palm Cruise, Deep sea fishing, sunrise hot air ballooning and finally why not have a cocktail in the only 7 star hotel in the world, Burj Al Arab.
