We’re already known as an inclusive, unique, free-thinking city-by-the-sea. Mix in with that impressive transport links including our proximity to Gatwick (30 minutes on the Gatwick Express and you’ve arrived), regular trains from central London (50 minutes and you’re here!), and you’ll find delegates giving a resounding cheer when they discover that the conference is being held in a brilliant destination that they can reach easily.

It's not just getting here though – it’s the choice of accommodation for staying here (and often that’s longer than the conference lasts because, well, everyone wants to make the most of being in a bustling, creative, vibrant city). You’re booking the accommodation for the delegates? No problem! We will help. They’re booking their own? Then we will introduce you to (catchy name alert!) Our Conference Delegate Accommodation Booking Service, but we’ll let you call it CDABS. It’s a free service we offer. AND we even design the booking landing page to look like your association/society/corporate website. Anything to make your life a little easier.
When you’re planning your event, you’ll want to see all the venue options available to you. You know who makes that easy? We do. We put a proposal together – just for you. We don’t want to brag, but it’s pretty special too. Filled with stunning, quirky images (well, we have a reputation to uphold!) full quotes, availability, capacities, all the information you need when you’ve started searching. It might include huge purpose-built venues seating up to 4450, a sporting venue, a Royal Palace, or maybe the biggest residential conference venue in the south? Or maybe even one of the MANY hidden gems?

Once you’ve shortlisted your favoured venues – come on down (we’ll make sure the price is right.) Let’s meet at the train station, so you can experience one of our bespoke tours through the compact, walkable city on our way to the first appointment. You’re likely to see stunning street art (including a Banksy) weave thorough the independent shops and businesses in the North Laine, experience the charm of The Lanes, and discover why there is no South Lanes.
Perhaps you’d like to make the most of VisitBrighton’s connections? As we have almost 400 partners in the city, it can be incredibly useful to know where to source unique items for goodie bags, AV equipment suppliers, arrange special activities (in conference yoga is a thing!) and we’ve even been known to introduce event organisers to professional speakers and performers too. In addition to this, we have our Ambassador Programme where we work with local academics and thought leaders to support conferences coming to the city.

Our Sector Strengths are Digital, Environmental Studies, Health & Life Sciences, Cultural and Creative – we thrive in these key economic sectors. Want to get into the nitty-gritty? Check it out here: Brighton Sector Strengths.
The conference is key for the learning, but it’s the social events where the networking is done. And, boy, are we good at social events. Looking for a drink’s reception? We can do that! 3 Course sit-down meal with Awards Ceremony, band and dancefloor? No worries. Exclusive tasting menu experiences for the VIP’s and speakers? We got you. Maybe a purpose-built hotel is a good fit for your event? Maybe a traditional Brighton venue with Fish & Chips and fairground rides? Or an underground comedy club? Otherwise, a LGBTQIA+ focused venue with a revolving stage. Want to show-off? Book the Royal Pavilion for drinks and dinner. Want an element of the unexpected? Private dining in a converted smugglers tunnel ought to do it. Let’s not forget the option of exclusive use of the food hall. How about the newly renovated stables of the Prince Regent? So many superb choices.

Another huge benefit of using VisitBrighton to help you is that we have teamed up with lots of our partners to offer special deals for delegates when they’re attending events in the city. It means they get a brilliant Brighton experience and the satisfaction of supporting our local economy whilst also saving money. The benefit is that everyone benefits.
Let’s throw in another perk. By using the VisitBrighton Convention Bureau, you also have access to stunning photography to promote your event. We’ve arranged for the rights to use a range of exceptional images that you will have access to, because we want you to be able to promote your event to delegates in the best possible way.
Sustainability – It’s no surprise to anyone that we are a green city. VisitBrighton is actually part of Brighton & Hove City Council – the first to pledge to be Carbon Neutral by 2030. There’s the Ultra Low Emission Zone buses getting people where they need to go, the Volks Electric Railway (the oldest working electric railway in the world!) which is handy for going along Madeira Drive to Sealanes with its outdoor swimming pool which is actually ON the beach (we have been known to arrange for a group pre-conference swim because it’s a really special experience to watch the sunrise over the beach whilst in a pool) plus they have solar panels, and even their changing cubicles are made from recycled plastic. Sealanes is actually a hub of awesomeness with independent food vendors, great event spaces, and many health focused and mindful businesses. Also, a short walk or city beryl bike ride along from there, gets you to Brighton Marina with it’s many restaurants, glow-in-the-dark crazy golf and cocktail bar, and Malmaison hotel.

You might care about having a Silent Disco Beach clean to make you feel good, us feel good and leave the city looking good. It’s all good. Another thing we can set up for you.
So, as we reach the end, I want to leave you with a few things you might not already know about Brighton.
• Apart from having eight miles of beach on our doorstep, we are bang in the middle of a UNESCO World Biosphere Region, that also borders the magnificent South Downs National Park, which is itself an International Dark Sky Reserve. Pretty awesome, huh?
• When the seafront railings turn from ‘Brighton Blue’ (a pale turquoise) to dark green, that’s when you know you’ve reached Hove (actually).
• The concept of the Fish Finger was created in a meeting held in the Doubletree by Hilton Brighton Metropole.
