Once a royal residence to King Henry VIII and Princess Elizabeth I, today Ashridge House is an award winning meeting, events, and wedding venue. Set in 190 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens, Ashridge House is located in Hertfordshire, only 30 minutes north of London. Seeped in history, character and versatility, our signature spaces exude royal elegance and a stately home ambiance, adorned with feature fireplaces and grand windows that offer panoramic views of our beautifully landscaped gardens.
There is the flexibility to host a wide spectrum of events in over 50 fully equipped meeting rooms, accommodating up to 250 people in our largest spaces. There’s a mix of grand, atmospheric period rooms and contemporary spaces, with a complement of smaller syndicate rooms at your disposal too. Breakout rooms and coffee lounges are close by so that you don’t have to go far for refreshment or to work in smaller groups. We can tailor-make experiential learning for team building and group exercises. Whatever the event, we provide space to meet, learn, reflect, innovate and motivate.
Outside of the house, play games in the grounds and connect with colleagues whilst walking through the 190 acres of landscaped gardens. Re-energise in the gym, relax in the pool, and re-focus in the sauna hidden amongst the woodland landscape.
Nestled in serene woodlands across various buildings and surrounded by beautiful countryside, are our 189 newly designed bedrooms. A home away from home, our rooms are located a short walk away in the modern extension of the main house and are the ideal place to escape from the bustle of life.
Over the past year alone we have held, weddings, training workshops, seminars, showcases, and product launches. As a Business School we host coaching courses, degrees and graduate programmes. We also host summer parties, Christmas events, as well as all our B2C events such as our open garden, house tours, afternoon tea, and live events. When visiting Ashridge House, our service from the initial discussions to the event, to the after-event care is what bring clients back each time.
Throughout the year we have been re-investing back into the House to make the experience for our guests the best it can be. It has been significant in the redevelopment of our 189 bedrooms and renovating our conference spaces, as well as upgraded coffee machines and EV car charging points.
We make it possible for our clients to meet globally, virtually. All our meeting rooms not only have a connectable TV screen, but also upgraded systems with Limitless Learning Technology, which we continue to maintain. We adapt to the world, and we have become very accessible for all our international clients. We have an onsite AV team that can help with any queries or needs while onsite.
Ashridge House is working hard to become a fully sustainable venue, already having received a Silver ECOsmart accreditation in March of 2024. We have a detailed report on our environmental and sustainable practices so far which includes recommendations to ensure we continue to build these practices. We have documented reduction in energy and water use in the last 12 months and we have plans in place to start moving to renewable energy.
