New Menus, Space & Packages at Woburn House

Published: 22 Feb 2023

SAKURA CAFE

We are very excited to announce the launch of a new space at Woburn House. Sakura Café is a light and bright open space on the 1st Floor of Woburn House, providing fantastic views over Tavistock Square. The space is a great place to see the changing seasons of the park, from the snow and bare trees in January, to our favourite, the blossom and flowering of spring. Sakura, is the Japanese word for cherry blossom as the space has fantastic views of the cherry blossom memorial tree to commemorate the lives lost in the Hiroshima bombing in 1945. The tree comes out in the most stunning pink blossom in spring which you may be lucky enough to see from the cafe.

The space is equipped with free to vend bean to cup coffee machines so your delegates can get those all-important espressos, lattes and cappuccinos, fruit and herbal teas, decaf options and filtered water. Throughout the day the café is stocked with tasty snacks to fuel your delegates such as fruit, pastries, biscuits and sweet treats. At lunchtime we serve a 2-course fork lunch in the café giving your delegates chance to break out from your meeting room and stretch their legs and enjoy lunch networking with colleagues overlooking Tavistock Square.

The café is accessible from 8am – 4pm every day giving your guests somewhere to have those all-important side conversations or Teams/Zoom calls throughout the day. All our smaller rooms are now sold with access to this space with the unlimited catering package for a day delegate rate starting from as little as £70 + VAT.

OUR NEW MENUS

We have recently launched and implemented our new menus. We have focused on improving the sustainability of our food whilst improving guest experience and food offer.

Our new menus provide tasty options for all guests with a choice of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options available every day. They have been designed with local and seasonal produce at the forefront. Also, we are working hard with our suppliers to ensure the ingredients we use are sourced sustainably. We are offering a sustainable menu which offers a purely vegan and vegetarian menu packed full of flavour. We can also replace biscuits with fruit during your breaks should you wish.

Here at Woburn House, we are very conscious of our carbon footprint. We have looked at the food miles of our ingredients, food wastage and number of deliveries to our venue. As a result, we have managed to reduce these things by around 50%! As always, our food is prepared freshly each day by our in-house chef, ensuring your food is not only fresh and flavoursome but also flexible to cater for those all-important dietary requirements. Our menu is focused on chef’s choice options, to ensure we can source seasonal locally sourced produce and create your delegates the best food possible.

We also have a new reception and fine dining menu which we are really excited about. We can offer nibbles, canapes and bowl food to have alongside the ever-popular unlimited drinks packages. With the opening of the Sakura Café, we now have another space for you to host those all-important dinners and receptions. Why not host your conference in Woburn Hall then move upstairs to the Sakura Café for your conference dinner? In addition to that, we have a list of a wide variety of local hotels we can recommend should your conference require that residential element.

CONNECTIVITY & TEAMWORK

We now have the capability to join virtual and hybrid meetings in all our meeting rooms. We have installed the latest Logitech video conference systems in our rooms and an excellent 2 camera system in Woburn Hall. This technology allows you to broadcast speakers into your event and broadcast your event out to delegates joining online. For further details, please see https://www.woburnhouse.co.uk/our-services/audio-visual-and-video-conferencing

We have been fortunate enough to keep the team together after the COVID outbreak closed the business for a period. Magda and Richard are still here to help you make your event the best it can possibly be. We have strengthened the team with a new Senior AV (Audio-Visual) Technician, Tony Konstantinidis. Tony is an expert in all things AV, including hybrid and virtual meetings. Also, Paschalis Papamichail joins us as an Events & Marketing Assistant so expect to hear more from us in the near future. Our reception and catering team are on hand to make sure you and your delegates have the best experience with us on the day.

We hope to see you soon,

Woburn House Team
