Published: 03 Aug 2020

The VisitEngland Awards, which celebrated their 30th anniversary last year, champion the very best of the country’s tourism industry, celebrating quality, innovation and best practice. This year, the programme aligned with 18 local competitions around the country, with winners automatically put forward for the national awards.

College Court were delighted to win in the category of ‘Business Events Venue of the Year’ at the Leicestershire Tourism Awards in November 2019. Hosted by Leicestershire Promotions, the awards are aimed at finding the very best tourism businesses in Leicestershire.

Winning ‘Business Events Venue of the Year’ at a regional level is an accolade in itself. To then discover College Court would be put forward for the national awards, and eventually becoming a finalist is a real honour, and testament to the reputation College Court has built, not only locally but nationally.

Steve Crawford, Centre Director at College Court said ‘To be recognised by our peer group for the region and then shortlisted for the national finals is a tremendous honour and all of the College Court team are so very proud.

As we prepare to open our doors again and welcome back our customers, it has given us a wonderful lift as we re-launch the business.

Congratulations to all of the finalists and a huge thank you to the College Court team.’
