Message from our General Manager

Published: 31 Jul 2020

It all seems so long since we have been able to welcome any guests. Everyone at Catthorpe may not be at work but is well and looking forward to the hotel re-opening.

In light of the problems that have seem to have reappeared in Leicester, we have decided that Catthorpe will not re-open until Monday 7th September.

I would like to take the opportunity to outline that we have delayed the re-opening of the hotel as, like everyone else, we take the safety of both our guests and staff very seriously. We have made significant changes and alterations to our building and operations due to COVID-19. Additionally, after having been closed for a fair amount of time already, there is a lot to get ready.

When you next stay at Catthorpe Manor, you will notice that we have used the closure as an opportunity to upgrade some of the estate facilities. When entering our estate, you will immediately notice that the car park has been resurfaced – something which was long overdue – as well as the installation of outdoor lighting and a new walkway between the house and the banqueting suite. Furthermore, there has been significant amounts of redecoration, work in the gardens and improvements to the infrastructure of the estate.

If you have any questions about the safety measures we are putting in place, how they will affect your stay, or simply if you are interested in what we have been doing, please do not hesitate to let me know.
