York Conferences celebrate 50 years of success
York Conferences are delighted to announce that 2020 marks 50 years of conferences being held at the University of York.
Over the last 50 years, the University of York has seen a huge transformation, with the development of it’s world-renowned research and teaching facilities, as well as the magnificent venues available to delegates, particularly with the recent development of Campus East.
Paul Whiting, Head of Marketing at Visit York, praised their success, saying “it is a truly impressive achievement to be celebrating 50 years of York Conferences. The diversity of venues available at the University of York has really helped establish the city as a top conference destination in the North of England. This is a venue provider that attracts important international conferences whilst also supporting the thriving local business market.”
During their 50 years, York Conferences have hosted a fantastic variety of events, from international medical conferences to Guinness world record attempts! On average, the venue provider now hosts 500 conferences and events annually.
Sian Fraser, Conference & Events Manager at York Conferences adds “the loyalty of our customers is what we’re most proud of. We have a fantastic variety of venues here that have held everything from iconic international conferences to intimate meetings, and we’re always delighted when our customers keep coming back.”
