CCT Venues rejuvenates Smithfield venue

CCT Venues has relaunched its Smithfield venue, having undergone an extensive refurbishment project over the Christmas period.

Situated above the historic Grade-II listed Smithfield Market in Farringdon, London, CCT Venues-Smithfield features 13 meeting rooms across one floor, holding up to 190 delegates. It also offers an open-plan lounge and restaurant.

Each meeting room is fitted out with new, state of the art audio visual equipment, as well as new stylish furniture, made from 100% recycled materials.

The ‘Camden Lock’ room (pictured) has been specifically designed for those more informal events. The room is decked out with soft furnishings, a stocked mini fridge, sweet dispensers and a meeting table that doubles up as a ping-pong table.

To celebrate the relaunch of CCT Venues-Smithfield, the company is offering a special discounted Day Delegate Rate of £53.50 (excluding VAT) or 10% off all room hire rates for all bookings held before 1st April 2020.

30 Euston Square launches rum experience packages

Ahead of the summer party season, 30 Euston Square is introducing an immersive Rum Tasting Experience.

Following the success of last year’s Gin Experience, the new rum concept will give guests the opportunity to indulge in the finest rums, paired with a selection of flavoured tonics and aromatic botanicals.

Priced from £12.50 per person, guests will get to sample a range of premium brands, such as The Kraken Spiced Black, Koko Kanu, Red Leg caramelised pineapple and the 12-year-old El Dorado Demerara.

30 Euston Square’s team of chefs have also created a variety of summer dining menus.
Menus include a new ‘bowl food’ menu, drawing inspiration on international flavours, with highlights of Tempura wasabi chicken with wilted bok choy and the Tandoori Celtic sea cod with black rice.

For larger parties, new canapés include Pickled watermelon with whipped Ewes’ milk cheese, and Peking Barbary duck. There will also be a selection of packages from inventive healthy breakfast dishes, to outdoor barbecue options and indulgent dinners in the venue’s 24-capacity Heritage Rooms.

30 Euston Square features a 300-seat auditorium, exhibition space, 18 meeting and training rooms. It also has integrated AV technology, six boardrooms (the Heritage Rooms) and penthouse State Rooms complete with a Rooftop Terrace for up to 216 guests, or 230 guests at standing events.

Royal Ascot reveals chefs in residence line-up

This year’s Royal Ascot will see chefs with a combined total of nine Michelin stars feature as part of its racing hospitality packages. The impressive brigade of chefs to take-up residency at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire includes Raymond Blanc OBE, Simon Rogan (pictured), Ollie Dabbous and Brett Graham.

Raymond Blanc will be returning for a fifth year to oversee the kitchen at the Royal Enclosure’s Panoramic Restaurant. He will serve a refined menu of dishes which wouldn’t look out of place at his two-Michelin starred restaurant Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons.

L’Enclume’s Simon Rogan will, for a third year, be hosting his restaurant in the Royal Enclosure Gardens while also curating the menu at the nearby Green Yard restaurant.

Ollie Dabbous, head chef at HIDE, will also be returning for a second year to launch a brand new Royal Enclosure restaurant called Holyrood House. While, Brett Graham, the two-Michelin starred head chef of The Ledbury is making his first appearance at Royal Ascot 2020.

Royal Ascot 2020 runs from 16-20 June. The Early Booking period for groups runs until 31st March, offering savings across three public enclosures for up to 48 people and groups of over 49 people.

There are numerous restaurant packages, private boxes or even your own exclusive space to select from. Private vantage points offer unsurpassed views of the Royal Procession, Parade Ring and six world-class races each day.
