De VereWokefield Estate, part of De Vere’s collection of Mansion House hotels and
event destinations, has announced a new partnership with Naomi House &
Jacksplace, a group of hospices that provide much-needed care and support to life-limited
and life-threatened children, young adults and their extended families from
Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Berkshire, West Sussex, Surrey and the Isle of
Wight.
Over the
course of the next year, De Vere Wokefield Estate will hold various fundraising
activities including a charity golf day on its 18-hole, PGA Standard golf
course and a fun run around the hotel’s 250-acres in support of the charity. In
addition, each department within the hotel will be holding their own
fundraising activity to help raise money. The HR team are raising awareness by
walking over one million steps over the next three months.
The hotel
staff are also geared up to support some of Naomi House’s own events, such as
Store Wars, where a company takes over a charity shop for the day in a bid to
raise as much money as possible.
Peter
Sangster, Venue Director at De Vere Wokefield Estate, said “We’re so pleased to
be able to support Naomi House & Jacksplace and its staff. We hope that our
contributions can go some way to allow the comfort and support families who
have children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. We’re keen to
raise an impressive amount of money for the charity over the year and will do
all we can to get as many people involved as possible to help raise awareness
of the charity’s great work.”
