Four more venues joined or upgraded to Gold membership during September, including a sailing club in Rugby, a centre on Harrogate’s historic show-ground, an airport hotel, plus a midlands science museum.
Park Grand London Heathrow offers three meeting rooms, the largest of which can host 100 theatre-style (pictured above). The 127-room four-star property’s proximity to London Heathrow airport makes it a perfect pitstop for business travellers heading into London or flying overseas.
Draycote View is a unique and relaxed venue for small conferences, meetings and team away-days. Located in rural Warwickshire, Draycote View overlooks a 650-acre lake, perfect for sailing team days or dragon boating. It has three meeting rooms for up to 80 theatre-style, which all include free WiFi, screens and flip-charts (pictured below).
The Yorkshire Event Centre is based on the Great Yorkshire Showground, the home of the Great Yorkshire Show since 1951. As a result, the venue has a rich event heritage spanning almost 70 years. Hall One, the larger of its two event halls can host conferences for up to 3,000 delegates or a 250 stand exhibition. Whilst Hall Two is a flexible, adaptable space for up to 1,600 delegates. There's also a seminar room for up to 100 theatre-style or 50 classroom-style (pictured below).
Finally, the ThinkTank science museum in Birmingham is the only venue in the Midlands where delegates can enjoy a canapé reception either under the wings of Spitfire and Hurricane fighter planes or in the cutting-edge Futures gallery with its Mars rover and other exciting exhibits on Space exploration.
ThinkTank also offers a 250-capacity event suite, a tiered auditorium for 180 or a Planetarium that seats 70 guests.
