Add a little bit of Olympic history to your next event

Published: 01 Jul 2019

The London 2012 Summer Olympics will live long in our memories for years to come; over 16 wonderful days the world was treated to a huge range of exceptional sporting achievements hosted at various locations across the UK. East London stadium played centre-stage to the majority of the action where we witnessed the natural highs and lows that accompany such a momentous sporting occasion. We all remember a major highlight of the games where ‘Super Saturday’, dubbed ‘the greatest sporting moment of all time’ saw British athletes Jessica Ennis-Hill, Greg Rutherford and Mo Farah all strike gold within just 44 minutes of each other.

Now imagine being able to add a little bit of Olympic history to your next event? Here at Allianz Park, we are proud to house the 80 metre warm-up track from the games, graced by an impressive list of Olympic legends such as Usain Bolt and our very own ‘Super Saturday’ trio. The track was re-located from the east London stadium to Allianz Park and now forms part of our Olympic Bar which is our largest and most versatile event space; the area offers a blank canvas and can accommodate up to 2,500 guests, making it the perfect venue for larger events such as Asian weddings, awards ceremonies or product launches. Historical events have seen the Olympic Bar totally transformed through theming and branding into an Asian Wedding Exhibition, gala dinner dance and even an artisan food market!

We are also proud to boast the largest collection of Olympic torches here at Allianz Park which forms part of our impressive sporting memorabilia collection – why not add a stadium tour to your event and allow your guests or delegates to experience a little bit of sporting nostalgia for themselves?

To find out more or to check availability with our team, please email info@allianzpark.com or call 0203 675 7290 – we would love to welcome you and share a little bit of Olympic history with you!
