Event Exeter embrace the New Year with New beginnings

The arrival of 2019 marks new beginnings for Event Exeter, the proud management team of the impressive event venues and accommodation of the University of Exeter. The full event service department have started the New Year with a brand new website and a revitalised logo.

New site

Part of the Commercial Services team within the Campus Services department of the University, Event Exeter is tasked with generating income for the institution through use of the events and accommodation venues. The service operates year round with the peaks during the Easter and Summer vacations.

The decision to take the Event Exeter brand and customer experience to the next level was made early in 2018 and for the latter 6 months of last year, a task group worked behind the scenes to give the brand a contemporary design and digital makeover.

The team worked closely with key customers and stake holders to establish what matters most to their audiences, then commissioned local experts Optix Solutions to guide the business through a brand and full digital strategy project, including the launch of a new website.

Same core values

With over 30 years of experience, Event Exeter take pride in building relationships and repeatedly exceeding customer expectations.

In this new chapter these core values remain unchanged, but a conscious decision has been taken by Event Exeter to enhance their brand and website to support their ethos of consistently delivering excellent customer experiences.

One site fits all

Event Exeter facilitates a range of events, from small day meetings, to awards dinners and large residential conferences and bed and breakfast, group and self-catering stays. To ensure that the new website serves the varied customer types, the improved functionality includes the following:
• Streamlined customer journeys, tailored to the needs of each of core audience
• Detailed 360 tours for some of the most popular venues
• Evidence of customer satisfaction through detailed case studies and testimonials
• Improved imagery highlighting exactly why the University of Exeter is a first-class destination
• Quick enquiry forms and online booking for accommodation
• Guides and tips on planning an event and making the most of the local area
• An up to date blog featuring events and news from both the University and the city of Exeter itself
• Links to local tourism partners and activities

Future developments

Planning for phases two, three and four is already underway with future developments likely to include guest blogs, further guides and tips, videos and feedback functionality.
