College Courts Head of Sales & Marketing role changes
hands between two key members of staff as one leaves and another is promoted.
Some exciting new changes within the team are happening at College
Court, part of the University of Leicester’s portfolio of venues.
In January 2013, a huge 9 months before opening, Charlotte
Sanders, our current Head of Sales & Marketing, took on a new role in her
home town. Having worked in commercial venues for many years the transition
into an Academic venue was something she was incredibly excited about, that and
bringing a new venue to the market. She quickly settled in and made her mark,
and nearly six years on, she leaves the venue to emigrate to Australia.
Charlotte says ‘I am extremely proud of where we are as a
business and although I am incredibly sad to leave this venue, I look forward
to new challenges overseas. Over the years my greatest enjoyment has been
watching the team develop and grow and to see the amount of awards that we have
won, I’m very proud to be part of that. I am extremely happy that Jo will be
taking the reins, she has a wealth of knowledge, is well respected and will
take the role to new heights. I wish her and College Court the very best for
the future.’
Jo Goddard,
current Business Development Manager, joined the business in August 2013, and
has nurtured and grown College Court and now Leicester Conferences to achieve
outstanding results. With year on year growth and having built an outstanding
reputation, both for the company and peers, Jo was offered the role of Head of
Sales & Marketing, taking the baton from Charlotte.
Jo says ‘I am incredibly excited to be moving into the role
of Head of Sales and Marketing for College Court and Leicester Conferences. I
have the privilege of working alongside some of the most passionate and
dedicated industry professionals and am very proud of the achievements our
portfolio has made to date. I look forward to further developing the business,
engaging with new audiences and ensuring the venues excellent reputation within
the industry continues to grow.'
Some highlights for
the last six years include:
Winning Best Customer Service National at the Academic
Venue Awards in 2017
Winning Hotel
of the Year in 2016
Charlotte won ‘Creative Innovator’ at the 2016 Discovering
Excellence Awards
Winning Building of the Year when we opened in 2013
Steve Crawford, Centre Director of College Court says ‘As much as I am sorry to see
Charlotte leaving the business I am also delighted for Charlotte and her family
on the new life that she will be building in Australia and know that she will
enjoy great success.
I am equally delighted that for this key position to the
ongoing success of College Court to have an excellent successor in Jo Goddard.
Jo’s knowledge and passion for College Court and the industry at large will
keep us driving forward and look forward to working with Jo for many years to
come’.
Wishing Charlotte the very best in her adventure overseas
and to Jo in her new role.
