The Royal Institution is a Grade 1 listed building and inspiring event space in the heart of Mayfair. Renowned for its rich heritage, the Royal Institution has been at the forefront of scientific discovery, innovation and communication for over 200 years and still continues its ground-breaking research, science communication and education programmes today. Intricate restoration of the Georgian spaces combined with the reinterpretation of flexible contemporary areas has formed an exciting space in an ideal central London location. With a variety of meeting rooms and historic 440 seat theatre, the Royal Institution has the flexibility to accommodate all of your business events. From meetings, seminars and training workshops in the elegant Library and Writing Room to product and press launches, award shows and large scale conferences.
For a reception, dinner or celebration our rooms provide an atmospheric setting for your event, making it a truly memorable occasion for all your guests. For a breathtaking event the entire building can be hired for an unforgettable evening. We now also have a licence for civil ceremonies and partnerships. As a unique, exclusive London venue, the Royal Institution can cater exquisitely for an intimate ceremony and wedding breakfast or larger party.
Exclusive hire of the whole building is also available in the day, providing plenty of creative branding opportunities for an important conference. New to our offering is The Lab; a state-of-the-art working laboratory available simply as a space to hire or for facilitator led team building sessions. This is a fun and interactive session where guests get to dabble in science - lab coat and goggles included! An experience unique to the Royal Institution!
Our bespoke approach is achieved through a dedicated point of contact taking ownership of your event from start to finish. We offer in-house audio-visual support and expert event catering through our in-house partners.
