Situated on Threadneedle Street, our location is ideal for public transport links, with Bank station only 3 minutes away and Liverpool Street 5 minutes (http://www.mtaylorsevents.co.uk/02venue_02.html).
With the versatility of 7 rooms and being one of the few venues that can offer a garden within the City of London, we are able to assist you with just about any event you are looking to host.
The Great Hall is the main room and the one that is used for the large scale events. It is able to accommodate 400 theatre style or 192 cabaret for conferences and 300 for dinner. Improvements have been made over the years to facilitate the demands of our ever changing industry. These include black out facilities on our stained glass windows, in house pa system for after dinner speeches and a moveable chandelier to accommodate stage sets for awards and conferences. When using the Great Hall, it automatically comes with the Cloisters and Garden. The Cloisters offers a natural networking and exhibition space for your delegates or pre dinner drinks.
The Garden, the jewel in our crown, is a beautiful and tranquil setting; it is hard to believe that you are in the heart of the City of London. It is a wonderful location for summer cocktail parties and BBQ’s.
We have 4 other rooms on the ground floor – the Parlour, Library, Court room and Committee room. They can be used on their own or in partnership with each other. Each room has a different character, which gives us a wide range of options to offer whilst you are deciding what setting you want your guests to have and the feeling that they will go away with at the end of the day.
On the first floor, we have our Drawing room and King’s Gallery. This combination of rooms allows us to have more than one event taking place at a time and can accommodate 48 cabaret or 90 theatre style.
Our catering is done in house offering an eclectic mix of menus, using only the freshest ingredients. Recognising that every event should have its own unique flavour, our Head Chef tailors his fine cuisine to suit each one. With the impressive selection of wines, our Cellar manager will find the perfect accompaniment to your event.
