Low Wood is beautifully situated on the shores of Lake Windermere, with splendid views across the lake to the Langdale Pikes.
The hotel offers a purpose built, fully air-conditioned conference centre for up to 340 delegates theatre-style, with the very latest in leisure facilities available on-site.
All 110 bedrooms comprising 82 twin, 22 double, 3 suites and 3 four posters are ensuite and have remote control TV, direct dial telephone, high speed Internet access, fax, trouser press, hairdryer and complimentary tea and coffee.
Delegates can choose from one of three bars with the option of an apéritif in the both chic and contemporary Langdale Lounge and Bar, real ale in the Marina Bar and Café del Lago Brasserie, which is part of the impressive Low Wood Leisure Club.
The elegant setting of the Windermere Restaurant has large picture windows to make the most of the magnificent lake and mountain backdrop. Here delegates can experience our inventive presentation, whilst Café del Lago serves full meals, lunches and snacks.
Meeting Room Facilities
There are nine meeting rooms, the largest accommodating 340 guests theatre style. All rooms are fully air-conditioned and sound-proofed with natural, Tungsten and Fluron lighting which is individually controllable. There is flexibility for back projection, good ceiling heights and an extensive range of conference support services and equipment available including wireless and wired high speed Internet access.
The Lakes Suite combined offers 320m² area of floor space, whilst the conference centre can provide 630m² as an Exhibition Area.
Private dining is available in a range of rooms most with lake views with maximum seating for up to 300 guests.
Sports & Leisure Facilities
Low Wood's superb Leisure Club includes 50ft swimming pool, spa, steam room, solarium, squash, fitness and dance studio plus beauty salons. Low Wood Watersports and Activity Centre offers sailing, waterskiing, wake surfing, climbing wall, bungee trampoline, motor boat hire, kayaking, canoeing and a 42 berth Marina.
Our on-site events team, Low Wood Events, offer a range of development training, team building events and corporate responsibility within the hotel and surrounding grounds or on the lake.
