FIVE (Farnborough International Venue & Events) is a unique and exciting event venue and show site, just 35 minutes from London. It is run by Farnborough International Ltd (FIL) and the site is home every two years to the globally-renowned Farnborough International Airshow, the world’s largest temporary exhibition. Alongside the Airshow, FIVE forms a key component of a three-strand business for FIL whose internationally recognised portfolio also incorporates providing consultancy services to overseas events such as the Bahrain International Airshow and India Aviation.
The FIVE venue and site are situated in the M3/M4 corridor in North Hampshire. Offering a large-scale indoor and outdoor blank canvas which is available for private hire all year round, FIVE is the perfect place to create dynamic and innovative corporate and public events.
The venue itself comprises 3,000 sqm of clear-span and unbranded indoor event space. The building has been designed to a high technical and operational specification and benefits particularly from in-house rigging and roller doors which enable large-scale vehicular access. Also comprising expansive independent reception areas, a mezzanine and on-site office space and industrial-style kitchen space, it is an entirely flexible event venue for 250-3,000 conference delegates, or 200-2,500 banqueting guests. It is ideal for indoor exhibitions, product launches and even building film sets.
The extensive show site surrounding the venue comprises more than 100,000 sqm of private and secure event space. This includes 50,000 sqm which is laid to hard-standing perfect for building sizeable temporary structures and exhibits, or for organising outdoor activities such as team building or driving challenges. The size and scope of the site means that FIVE can also offer ample free on-site parking.
There are more than 1,600 hotel bedrooms within a 20 minute drive of the FIVE site and three of the best local hotels are less than a mile from the front doors. Boasting excellent access by road and rail, FIVE is less than an hour from Gatwick and Heathrow airports. It is also positioned directly adjacent to TAG Farnborough Airport, Europe’s premier dedicated business airport, which can provide highly convenient private air access, just minutes from the venue.
