The University of Edinburgh has given rise to some of the city’s most distinctive and iconic buildings. At Edinburgh First we bring these majestic buildings to life as successful conference and events venues.
We’ll organise, cater and facilitate your event professionally and efficiently to ensure it runs smoothly and creates a memorable experience for your delegates.
Our historic buildings include the Playfair Library Hall, Reid Concert Hall, Talbot Rice Gallery, St Cecilia’s Hall, prestigious McEwan Hall and the impressive Assembly Hall. These flexible venues offer space for ten to 1,100 delegates.
At Pollock Halls our venues range from mansions, Abden House and St. Leonard's Hall, to our purpose-built John McIntyre Conference Centre whose plenary room seats 330 theatre style, has six breakouts, a bright lounge, outdoor terrace/marquee, free Wi-Fi, new AV and modern self-service restaurant.
We have over 30 classrooms and ten tiered lecture theatres with exhibition areas e.g. George Square Lecture Theatre and Appleton Tower, ideal venues for large conferences.
Year round we have 156 en-suite bedrooms; rising to 2,000 in summer. Combined with conference space we can offer you a great-value residential package.
Our three-star Salisbury Green Hotel is a stunning mansion house with 36 bedrooms and four meeting rooms. Our newest accommodation, Masson House, offers 120 en-suite rooms in a comfortable and modern setting.
