venue description
For all your conference and hospitality needs!
Set within 54 acres of beautiful parkland in the Grounds of Roehampton University, Conference Roehampton offers two magnificent Georgian Mansion houses, landscaped gardens, stunning old chapels as well as modern buildings including lecture theatres, classrooms and accommodation.
Grade I listed Parkstead House is a Georgian style villa and was designed in the early 1760’s by Sir William Chambers – the architect for Somerset House and the Pagoda at Kew Gardens. Inside the House there are five interconnecting rooms which retain many of their original features such as fireplaces, chandeliers and decorative ceilings. In the 1860’s the House became the home of the Jesuits priests who added a beautiful long white pillared corridor and chapel with finely decorated high domed ceilings and archways. The House also boasts stunning vistas across Richmond Park as well as a large lawn area.
Parts of Grade II listed Grove House date back to 1762 and many of the original features can still be found inside such as fireplaces, wooden panelling and decorative ceilings. The House boasts acres of listed grounds including a lily pond, a lake and gardens. Both venues offer modern and historic rooms for all types of events – the possibilities are endless!
The rest of the site offers both old and new lecture theatres, halls and classrooms, licensed modern bars, dining rooms, a gym and on site car parking. There is also a mixture of student accommodation blocks from en-suite to standard bedrooms. Several areas around the site are also ideal for marquees and team building events.
