Surrounded by beautiful parkland, Wivenhoe House Hotel is situated on the outskirts of historic Colchester and within easy access of London, East Anglia, Stansted airport and Harwich International Port.
Wivenhoe House is a three star hotel and has a variety of well equipped meeting rooms for 2-60 guests, making it ideal for seminars and smaller conferences. All 46 bedrooms are en suite with Sky television, hairdryer, trouser press and complimentary refreshment tray.
From May to September, a marquee is available in the gardens of Wivenhoe House, providing an elegant setting for drinks receptions, weddings, barbecues and gala dinners for up to 160 people.
The iLab, which is located adjacent to Wivenhoe House, is a venue dedicated to inspire and stimulate creative thinking. The iLab features floor to ceiling whiteboard walls, modern vibrant décor and different zones, for computer based, discussion and workshop activities.
With the University of Essex only a five-minute walk away, event organisers can benefit from the combined facilities of both the University and Wivenhoe House.
From July to September, the University offers a vast selection of accommodation and versatile venues for 2-1000 delegates including a brand new lecture theatre complex. This can be split into two lecture theatres, each with flexible seating for 500, making it an ideal venue for exhibitions and conferences.
Location and Parking
A12 to central Colchester, then follow signs to University of Essex along A133, turn off onto B1028 and follow signs for Wivenhoe House Hotel. Car parking outside hotel.
