Venue Description
Wadenhoe House use to be a peaceful weekend retreat for Prime Minister Disraeli's Cabinet during the reign of Queen Victoria. At that time it was owned by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Ward-Hunt, who generously entertained his appreciative fellow cabinet members at his country estate.
Today, that same house and estate retains its tranquil calm, set in the picturesque valley of the River Nene in Northamptonshire, but it is also a thoroughly modern Conference and Training Centre.
This Jacobean mansion, set in eight acres of landscaped gardens and enjoying stunning views across the rolling Northamptonshire countryside, is easily accessible from most areas of the country. It is run by a highly-skilled management team and professional staff, including an award-winning restaurant and kitchen team, led by renowned Master Chef of Great Britain, Keith John Smee.
Our 27 period bedrooms are individually designed with both their history and modern comforts in mind. All have en-suite facilities.
When you book Wadenhoe House, you are booking more than a venue - you are booking an experience. And you will experience the same hospitality and attention to detail that the statesmen of Victorian times enjoyed.
A stay at Wadenhoe House is a never-to-be-forgotten experience.
At weekends, Wadenhoe House is usually transformed into a fabulous wedding venue for discerning couples who want nothing but the very best for their special day.
