Venue Description
The University of Manchester is probably the most diverse conference complex in Britain with a hugely experienced conference team. The variety of our venues enables us to tailor facilities to exact requirements. Within 300 metres of Piccadilly station, our Renold Building has eight theatres and many meeting rooms, with a wide range of bedrooms within a few yards, so that we can comfortably accommodate and cater for residential conferences of up to 500.
On the same site, our Manchester Conference Centre (see separate page) is a fully-integrated venue with air-conditioned theatres and meeting rooms, plus 117 hotel bedrooms. The wider campus offers more than 5,000 bedrooms (many of which are en suite), the Armitage Centre seating up to 1000, banqueting suites including the magnificent Whitworth Hall and IT training rooms. High specification audio-visual equipment is available across all sites. This extensive list is completed by high quality sports facilities including the Commonwealth Games swimming pool, gym facilities and more than 20 outdoor grass pitches ideal for company sports events.
Chancellors Hotel and Conference Centre (see separate page) offers 75 hotel bedrooms, a theatre for 100, breakout rooms and free on-site parking. University Place, opens in 2008 providing the largest purpose-built lecture theatre in Manchester, a 1000-seat auditorium, capable of dividing into a 600 and 400 seat theatre, plus 23 seminar rooms, a 400 seat restaurant, 500 sq metre exhibition space and adjacent marquee area. Other services include full conference administration, a hotel booking agency and exhibition services.

Location and Parking
Our various campuses are located from the city centre to 3 miles south, close to Piccadilly train station, up to 9 miles from Manchester airport, with good access from the M56. Parking is available at all sites.
