Venue Description

The Palace Hotel is one of the largest hotels in the South West, set in 25 acres and offering unrivalled conference facilities. The Arena offers facilities for up to 1,000 delegates and in total there are 11 conference and syndicate rooms.

The hotel is particularly popular for large association and company events as 'exclusive use' can be arranged.

The leisure facilities include indoor and outdoor tennis courts, nine hole short par 3 golf course, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, putting green, croquet lawn, squash courts, sauna and snooker room.

A total of 141 bedrooms comprises 44 twins, 36 singles, 55 doubles and 6 luxury suites. All rooms have radio, colour TV, direct dial telephone and tea and coffee making facilities. The restaurant although usually set for 350 covers can seat 550 at a banquet and offers English and French cuisine. In warmer weather delegates can enjoy pre-dinner drinks on the Terrace as an alternative to the two bars.

On reaching Torquay seafront, travel left along seafront. At the Clock tower turn left into Babbacombe Rd. Proceed for a mile, the hotel is on the right. Torquay Station 1½ miles. Exeter 25 miles. Free parking 130 cars.
