Rich in history, yet designed for the needs of today, the Royal College of Physicians is housed in an elegant, award winning, Grade 1 listed, modern building, located in an attractive setting overlooking Regents Park in the heart of London.
The building has an atmosphere of space and light, with stylish, modern architecture. The impressive portfolio of purpose-designed facilities are ideal for high profile presentations, conferences and meetings, with two tiered auditoriums seating 300 and 140 respectively, exhibition spaces and meetings rooms with a good mixture of old and new styles to suit all tastes. There are also a number of smaller, more traditional rooms which contrast with the buildings contemporary style.
The magnificent Dorchester Library, which houses some of the Colleges collection of over 50,000 antiquarian books and is ideal for drinks receptions, wedding ceremonies, dinners and meetings, while the attractive Osler Room with its superb views over the Georgian Nash terraces and garden can accommodate up to 300 guests for a variety of events. On a summer's evening, the College garden is the perfect setting for aperitifs, wedding photographs, or a delicious barbecue! Additional elegant dining and meeting rooms are also available.
The College is proud of its reputation for excellent food, wines and service and offers menus suit all occasions from formal banquets and wedding receptions to barbecues in the private College garden.
The facilities are further enhanced by numerous rare treasures, artefacts and a collection of rare books and manuscripts. Bespoke guided historical tours and packaged "treasures" presentations of our Heritage Collection can also be arranged, making every occasion truly memorable.
Location and Parking
In its central and attractive location, the College is situated only minutes away from Great Portland Street, Warren Street, and Regent's Park tube stations and is conveniently accessible for Kings Cross, Euston and Paddington station with links to all major London airports. Free parking for organisers can be arranged on request.
