Laban, winner of the Stirling Prize for Architecture in 2003, is a cutting-edge new events venue and filming location in the heart of South East London's thriving arts community.
Designed by acclaimed architects Herzog & de Meuron of Tate Modern fame, this awe-inspiring landmark building offers a spectacular backdrop for events requiring a vibrant and creative setting.
Primarily a world-leading conservatoire for the training of professional contemporary dance artists, Laban's facilities include a 300-seat theatre and 12 studios offering light, bright, ultra-modern venue solutions. Receptions for up to 400 can be held in the stylish and contemporary Foyer space, while the grounds, designed by Vogt Architects and incorporating a 200-seat amphitheatre, offer an impressive setting for summer events with the building providing a dramatic backdrop.
Laban by day and by night are dramatically different: by day, the building's translucent outer skin allows natural daylight to flood through it, throwing energizing white and coloured light into the interior space. By night,
