Originally a Cistercian Abbey, dating back to the 12th Century, this 'no ordinary' hotel stands in 500 acres of parkland overlooking formal gardens and lake. With nine Conference rooms to choose from, including the Courthouse and Cloisters State Rooms, Coombe Abbey Hotel is the ideal meeting venue to impress potential clients, unveil new developments or train colleagues.
Delegates cross the moat bridge and pass through a cloistered entrance into a vaulted reception area. Lavishly decorated corridors lead the way to our State Rooms which host a variety of conference and events.
Your guests can relax and enjoy overnight accommodation in one of our unique bedrooms. There are 83 in total (122 from Summer 2008) all have been individually designed with deep colours and carefully selected silks to create a sense of pure indulgence. Guests have a choice of standard or feature bedrooms all with individual aspects.
End a successful day with dinner in the Garden Room Restaurant or host a private dinner or party in one of our elegant State Rooms. The elegant setting and superb food make Coombe Abbey a popular choice for guests. Subtle lighting, lavish furniture, unobtrusive yet attentive service makes the Restaurant truly memorable. Coombe Abbey is an unrivalled setting for meetings and conferences with a variety of rooms to choose from. The Courthouse, originally a 19th century real indoor tennis court, has its own lounge and bar area with three interchangeable areas to accommodate up to 120 delegates. The ground floor auditorium offers approximately 3000 sq ft of exhibition space. Within the Abbey there are five seminar rooms, with many of the original features such as oak panelling or hand etched glass windows and stunning views of the gardens, lake and moat. The Hotel offers 21st century meeting facilities including FREE wireless Internet access and a variety of audio visual aids. The Abbeygate provides a distinctive and authentic ambience for a no ordinary meeting, bedecked in Armour and Tapestries, stone flagged floors, this stately Baronial Hall can enter for up to 160 delegates.
The surroundings of our 500-acre estate incorporate a specially-designated event field to make your Conference Day truly different and relaxing. Activities available include Clay Pigeon, Air Rifle, Firework Displays, Archery, Axe Throwing, Treasure Hunts, Falconry, Mini Hovercrafts and Mediaeval Pageants, to name but a few!

Choose from the elegance and sophistication of The Garden Room Restaurant which offers both table d'hôte and a la carte menus. Private dining rooms offer a choice of set menus to suit all tastes. Alternatively for an evening of Mirth and Merriment Mediaeval Banquets can be arranged for group bookings in the Abbeygate Banqueting Chamber.

Location and Parking
Coombe Abbey is just 4 miles from the A46 and 6 miles from the M6 motorway. Coventry railway station is 6 miles away, with Birmingham NEC and International Airport just a short drive. Coombe Abbey provides parking spaces for 250 cars with a site for helicopter landings.
