venue description
Number 45 Millbank is on the premises of the world-famous Chelsea College of Art & Design and offers a versatile and memorable Grade Two listed event & conference space with a quirky edge. All the rooms have panoramic views across the Thames and are just steps away from the famous London landmark, Tate Britain. Number 45 Millbank is centrally located within walking distance of excellent transport links.
Originally built in 1904 as the Royal Army Medical College & Headquarters, senior military members relaxed in style in these rooms that are today available for hire. Three years ago the venue was sympathetically restored to bring the Edwardian interiors back to their former glory and today our three magnificent rooms promise an unforgettable meeting and event experience. In addition we offer impressive outdoor space which could be used in conjunction with the venue for relaxing coffee breaks or as a stand-alone space for summer drinks receptions.
The Banqueting Hall is an elegant and versatile Edwardian space that can accommodate up to 200 guests for receptions or 150 delegates for conferences. This room is the largest of the three rooms and suited to larger parties and major presentations.
Another impressive interior space is the Red Room. This room can be booked on its own for private parties, receptions or meetings for up to 60 people and also interconnects with the Banqueting Hall, offering versatility. The room is ideal to use in conjunction with the Banqueting Hall as a break-out space.
The third of our event spaces is the contemporary style Green Room which is ideally suited to off-site boardroom meetings and small private luncheons or dinner parties for up to 60 people. This room can be used in conjunction with the Banqueting Hall and Red Room.
