Nicosia is the capital and the largest city of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which has a population of around 73,000. Home to the main government headquarters and foreign representatives, it is also the seat for the United Nations and the European Commission offices. Nicosia's two sectors (the Turkish North and the Greek South) are served by different airports: Ercan International Airport for the north, and both Paphos International Airport and Larnaca International Airport for the south.
