The Art of Travel: A Summer of Searcys Masterclasses and Events

Searcys St Pancras’ Summer Pop-Up transports guests to twelve European destinations

St Pancras by Searcys’ summer pop-up launched in July 2019, taking inspiration from The Art of Travel. In partnership with Veuve Clicquot, Globe-Trotter and Sipsmith Gin, Europe’s longest Champagne Bar was transformed into London’s most stylish pre-holiday destination.

Searcys have launched a calendar of travel-related events and masterclasses, which are taking place throughout the summer months. Guests are invited to sharpen their travel photography skills with a masterclass led by Chris Coe, Founder and Director of the Travel Photographer of the Year Awards, or learn valuable tips on how to pack and look after your Globe-Trotter suitcase with the company’s brand ambassador, Rocky Matsuura. For gin lovers, Searcys has prepared a special five course gin supper club, as well as a gin tasting in collaboration with Sipsmith Gin. All events can be booked here

The summery lounge bar is open from 7am to 11pm throughout the summer, until 9th September. Guests are invited to sit back and soak up the charm of St Pancras station, as they enjoy a glass of Champagne, a brand new The Art of Travel Afternoon Tea, and menus that pay homage to no less than twelve much-loved European cities and holiday spots. The Art of Travel by Searcys take guests on a European travel journey, without leaving the station.

Travel Photography Masterclass – Tuesday 3rd September, 6.30 – 7.30 PM
Led by Chris Coe, Founder and Director of Travel Photographer of the Year, this masterclass is all
about you and your photography and how you can enhance your travel photography. The 60-minutes
long class is priced at £19.00 per person it also includes a glass of Sparkling Wine.

Gin Tasting with Sipsmith – Wednesday 31 July, 6.30 – 7.30 PM
The evening will commence with a gin cocktail in hand, then it's over to the brand expert who will guide
you through five different types of Sipsmith gins. Priced at £19 per person it includes class and gin
tastings.

Globe-Trotter Masterclass – Friday 16 August 6.30 – 7.15 PM
James Fisher, Business Development Director of Globe-Trotter will talk about the brand heritage while
Rocky Matsuura, brand ambassador and repairs specialist of Globe-Trotter will be giving tips on how
to pack your bag and look after your suitcase. The class will last 40 minutes and priced £19 it also
includes a glass of Sparkling Wine on arrival.

Gin Supper with Sipsmith – Thursday 29 August 6.30 – 8.30 PM
An exciting gin and food tasting pairing by Searcys and Sipsmith. Searcys invite guests to a seasonal
five-course dinner with matched with Sipsmith gin cocktails, all presented by the brand expert. Priced
at £70.00 per person.

During the summer holidays, The Art of Travel pop-up sees each of the twelve private booths in the
Champagne Bar transformed into a different European city destination. Ranging from Eurostar
destinations like Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam to further flung European favourites like San Remo,
Porto and Reims, each city brings a little essence of its culture to the Champagne Bar at St Pancras
by Searcys
. Each booth has been decorated in pastel colours displaying their correspondent city map,
with signs to each destination presented in a tasteful and pared back style.

A travel-inspired Afternoon Tea menu is also available throughout the summer at St Pancras by
Searcys
. The menu plays on delicacies from a handful of European cities – all served in a stylish
travel suitcase. With the Eurostar at our fingertips, St Pancras’ brand-new afternoon tea menu gives a
taste of travels to come, delighting guests with the classic French Opera gâteau, Belgian white
chocolate mousse, passion fruit Swiss meringue pie and more.

With an air of romance about the art of slow travel, St Pancras is the perfect destination to indulge as
guests soak up the Victorian architecture and enjoy a taste of travel before or after boarding their
train.
