Two customers from Milton Keynes Business Centre scooped prestigious business awards last month.
Nutmeg Studio and Milton Keynes Community Based Falls Prevention Clinic, B-Well Therapy Ltd, said they were both delighted with their prizes at the annual Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire SME Business Awards.

Nutmeg Studio, who produce wall stickers, took home the top prize in the Enterprising Business Award – which was the category we sponsored. They were pitted against six other competitors, but managed to clinch the top spot by showing their initiative and willingness to undertake new products.

Founder of the company, Adele MacKinnon, said: “We’re really chuffed to win, it’s great to have our achievements recognised! We also won another award this week, the Roland Hero award. It’s a great recognition and it gives our customers confidence in us.
“We’re launching a couple of new product ranges this year and aiming to recruit a new full-time member of staff to expand our team. We’re releasing a new range of products which will come out in summer time targeted at a new customer base, which is retail graphics for off-the-shelf sales signs.
“We’ve been in Capital Space for four years now and we’re really happy with the place; the gates and the security are reassuring, and the reception is handy for parcels when I’m working from home
.”

Nutmeg Studio will now be invited to the SME National Business Awards which take place in December.

In recognition of the amazing work they’ve been doing to prevent falls among the elderly population, Milton Keynes Community Based Falls Prevention Clinic, B-Well Therapy Ltd came in as runners-up in the Community-Based Services Award.

Venkat Tikkireddi, Managing Director, said: “The award is an amazing achievement for us, it brings gratitude for the staff and helps our team working by bringing additional enthusiasm to our work. We’re grateful for the recognition – we’re saving the hospital lots of money because of the work we’ve done to prevent falls in elderly people. We’re getting cards from patients each week saying thank you and it’s really good to get the recognition.”
