Success at the South West Tourism Excellence Awards

Published: 08 Feb 2019

We are delighted to have won a silver award in the Business Tourism and Venue category of the South West Tourism Excellence Awards last night. The Roman Baths and Pump Room triumphed, with the museum also winning Gold for Large Attraction of the Year and Gold for International Visitor Experience.

The awards were announced yesterday at Aerospace Bristol, with dinner taking place under the last Concorde ever to fly. Captain Les Brodie, who piloted the last flight to Filton in 2003 presented the awards to winners, as well as making a pre-dinner speech.

The South West Tourism Excellence Awards recognise the ongoing quality development of tourism businesses in the region. Judging is carried out by an independent panel of past winners, industry leaders and experts. The judges consider written application forms, websites and social media, and some finalists also receive a ‘mystery shopping’ visit.

As Bath's Historic Venues, we are delighted that the quality of our work together with our contracted caterer Searcys has been recognised.
