Corporate summer festival parties at Careys Manor

Published: 21 Jun 2018

As we enter the festival season, it’s easy to see how that fun, relaxed vibe would work for corporate guests wanting to unwind with a relaxed summer party.

Hosting a summer festival is the perfect way to entertain clients, woo new ones, and reward hard-working employees.

Careys Manor hotel in the beautiful New Forest has set aside its 10-acre Bridge Farm field to offer summer festival parties with delicious, local food, fun activities and a night in luxury under the stars in a beautiful Bell tent.

To keep things fun, Careys Manor’s barbecue invites you to ‘build your own’ hot dogs – with local sausages from Chris Watson butchers, soft brioche buns, caramelised onions and a selection of sauces, served with homemade slaw, salads and dips.

Encourage guests to create their own prosecco cocktails, with fresh berries, purees and fruit liqueurs. Prosecco buckets on old oak barrels with a hand-written chalk instruction sign completes the look.

Wicker baskets filled with fresh homemade bread, cupcakes or madeleines add to the laid-back festival food vibe.

Southcoast Marquees
can provide a traditional marquee with beautiful cream canvas and wooden poles, creating a great space for an outdoor meeting, a celebratory group dinner, or a games room.

Quirky, creative signs by Megan Hodgson from Wilson and Lionel look the part, with vintage chalk boards and beautiful flowing calligraphy.

Floral sculptor Owen Lavin’s rustic style fits perfectly with a festival-style summer party, with mossy table decorations and white hydrangea plants in wooden crates.

For fun games, Careys Manor can arrange for a row of archery targets to be set up by LYC Events – perfect for guests to have fun and connect with their inner Robin Hood.

Wooden crates and hay bales make perfect seating, rustic palettes can be used for low tables, and faded Persian rugs add comfort and vintage chic. Firepits will keep guests toasty as the evening draws in, and flickering tea light chandeliers can take over when the sun dips below the treeline.

It really wouldn’t be a festival without tents, and South Coast Glamping provides luxury furnished Bell tents complete with fluffy pillows, tea light chandeliers, and chic wooden furniture for a fun night under the stars. Guests can share, with up to four single beds in a large Bell tent, or have a space all to themselves.

If it rains, it really will feel like a festival – so plan to include floral umbrellas and comfy wellies into your festival styling.
