To celebrate their new coffee supplier, International
Coffee Day and Searcys’ 170th birthday, 30 Euston Square are
rewarding coffee drinkers throughout October.
30 Euston Square, an award-winning events venue, is
adding new notes and tones to the industry’s favourite beverage having embraced
a new coffee supplier. The change follows a series of tastings with the
internal team and more than twenty clients. The switch is being marked as
part of International Coffee Day this Sunday (1st October, 2017).
“In a country where we average approximately 55 million
cups of coffee a day, such a change might not sound that important but aside
from water, it is our most consumed product and has to be right,” comments
Yvette Chatwin, General Manager at 30 Euston Square.
“The coffee culture in the UK has been revolutionised
over the last couple of decades with consumers having both taste and brand
preferences. We have always recognised this at 30 Euston Square, having
gone out of our way to provide a great cup to every guest, whether they are in
meetings, visiting Café Caritas or staying in one of our 41 Boutique Bedrooms,
we felt it was time to see if we could improve on what was already a great
beverage.”
Following an internal blind tasting to shortlist several
options, clients were invited to 30 Euston Square to sample two different
choices and provide feedback. The favourite choice was Coffee Society,
which is described as having a medium body with toasty notes for a bittersweet
combination.
A free cup of coffee will be given to every 170th customer in Café Caritas throughout October to celebrate both Searcys’ 170th birthday and the new supplier.
Yvette Concludes: “As we serve more than 350,000 cups of
coffee a year, it’s important to us to deliver the gold standard every time and
exceed our clients’ expectations. Therefore, when choosing our new supplier, we
knew we needed to provide the perfect balance of flavour, as well as ensuring
it was 100% triple certified and continues to contribute to our wider CSR strategy
and policies.”
