10 years since
launching,
thestudio seems to be winning
at the numbers game: less than one year after opening in a fourth location, the
group’s third venue is gearing up for expansion works that will double its
existing size.
thestudioleeds will
be taking over the floor adjacent to it, adding an extra 7,000 sq. ft. to the space and
creating four new rooms. This will take the venues total room count to 11,
capable of accommodating from 2 to 185 guests, just in time for
thestudioleeds’ second birthday in September this
year.
Known for its fresh and colourful take on the typically monochrome
corporate world,
thestudioleeds has
brought its signature style to the city and has received a warm Yorkshire
welcome. A place to meet, train and entertain,
thestudioleeds has filled a gap in the region’s events market,
offering a quirky alternative to the city centre’s former scene. In addition to
the venues existing
Lego wall, an indoor silver birch forest and a very tactile
moss wall, the newly expanded site will have an outdoor terrace, similar to its
Birmingham and Manchester counterparts, as well as two further breakout areas.
Speaking about the group’s growth,
Julian Kettleborough,
Commercial Director at thestudio,
commented:
“
Since opening just under two years ago, we’ve enjoyed a level of
custom that we could never have expected. As a result of this, we were
regularly reaching capacity and having to turn custom away. This is never an
easy thing to do, particularly when we’ve built such great relationships with
our customers here, so in thestudio’s
true style, we decided to think outside the box for another solution. When the
floor below became available, we knew that it was the opportunity we had been
waiting for.”
The four additional rooms are to accommodate 8, 49, 49, and 63
delegates respectively and will be fitted with state-of-the-art AV equipment,
including integrated sound systems,
Apple TV, and
HDMI data projection, to
ensure that your day runs without any technical difficulties. Added to this,
the three dedicated breakout zones will all serve thestudio’s unlimited tea, coffee, and snacks throughout the day, and will provide the space for customers to fuel their creativity with award-winning
meals cooked on-site with locally sourced ingredients.
