The Visitor Centre has joined forces with the Leicester Comedy Festival to create a new exhibition about the social media exploits of King Richard III.
Opening on Wednesday 8th February and running throughout the Leicester Comedy Festival, @deadmonarchs celebrates centuries-old kings who have got to grips with modern technology and are tweeting from beyond the grave.
Twitter users may already know that King Richard III (@richard_third) is a prolific tweeter and together with King Henry VIII (@KngHnryVIII) they have reignited old rivalries and the two of them are now battling it out online…
The exhibition gives a taste of the war of words between the two dead monarchs, as well as Richard’s views on his adopted home, Leicester, its triumphant football team, and there’s also a short guide to local car parks..!
@deadmonarchs runs from 8th – 26th February, during Visitor Centre opening hours and entrance to the exhibition is included in the admission price.
