He was awarded 1st place in the senior category for his dish of pan-fried beef tenderloin with monkfish medallions, cauliflower, purple sprouting broccoli, samphire and a red wine sauce.

This is the second time Rob has won the competition, having previously held the title in 2014. He will now go on to compete in the IACC Europe final to be held in the Netherlands in September.

Commenting on his success, he said:

"I'm incredibly proud to have won the Copper Skillet Competition once again, especially considering the tough competition of so many great chefs. It’s an honour to hold this title for the UK and also represent Sundial Group. I’m really looking forward to the European final in September.”
