Searcys begins search for next generation of culinary talent

Searcys has begun the search for its next generation of chefs through a series of open days starting on 1st June, 2016 at Anthony Demetre’s Urban Coterie.

“As a vibrant company and leading provider of high quality food and drink in venues, bars and restaurants across London and the South, we are constantly seeking energetic, engaging and talented chefs looking to expand their knowledge and develop their skills,” comments Arnaud Stevens – Chef Director - Searcys. “These open days will give chefs in the earlier stages of their career an opportunity to meet general managers and head chefs from some of the country’s most exciting locations, demonstrate why they could be part of the team and arrange for immediate trials across our portfolio.”

During the open days, chefs will have a chance to learn more about the Searcys brand, what it has to offer as well as the wide range of businesses in the portfolio. Attendees will be assessed by members of the Searcys leadership team to identify where their skills, aptitude and personality might fit, before potentially being assigned a trial period working directly within one of the Searcys venues.

“Chefs sit at the heart of our business, they are key not just to our ongoing success but also our creativity and ideas. We are looking for individuals that are excited by food, have a genuine desire to develop and above all want to work as part of our team within some of the coolest, most vibrant venues in the world. The top floor of the Gherkin, overlooking the City of London; the hustle and bustle of St Pancras Station; the luxuriousness of Urban Coterie in the heart of tech city; all offer something different, inspiring and ultimately something challenging for chefs looking to make their mark and progress their career.” concludes Arnaud, whose own Michelin star background has led to him attaining his own Three AA Rosettes.

Chefs taking part in the process will also have an opportunity to learn and develop through structured individual training programmes and attendance at the Chef’s Academy, an in-depth training programme run by Searcys parent company in partnership Michelin star chef, John Campbell that allows individuals to progress throughout their career from entry level to head chef.

Chefs looking to take part in the open days should contact ibelong@searcys.co.uk Dates for future open days will be announced in due course.

Searcys will be exhibiting at The Meetings Show from 14-16 June, 2016.
