The Gherkin, part of the
Searcys collection of venues, has revealed its much anticipated Christmas theme
for corporate events and parties taking place on the 39th and 40th floors, with a focus on diamonds and the night sky. The diamond theme will be
available for events taking place between 27th November and 1st of January.
The theme, which will see
guests dazzled as they arrive for their glistening drinks receptions, will be
showcased on
6 June at an event attended by industry leaders and buyers.
While the sun sets and the stars light up the sky the theme will perfectly blend
the Gherkin’s reputation for lavish and sumptuously decorated events whether
they are standing reception or seated dinner.
The theme will see guests
journey through a glittering landscape of heaped snow; scattered diamonds;
frosted, silver and glass ornaments; giant diamond towers; sparkling furniture
and glittering trees. Inspiration for the theming was taken from the nursery
rhyme, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, in particular the lines: “Up above the
world so high, like a diamond in the sky…”

The launch of our
theme each year is one of the industry’s most eagerly anticipated events as
many bookers hold off making plans for Christmas parties until the details are
revealed. We expect to once again rapidly sell all available dates,
particularly following the showcase event in June.”
The theme also includes a
dance floor, bar and appropriate food and beverage the full details of which

Packages for receptions range
from £117pp and dinners from £123pp based on a minimum of 100 people. Room hire
charges apply and costs are exclusive of VAT.
