Join in with UK Events Week and experience activity across London to coincide with International Confex
UK Events Week, a celebration of the importance of conferences, meetings, experiential and live event activity will take place from 29 February to 4 March.
The week, which coincides with International Confex and Event Production Show (EPS), both held at Olympia, comprises a five-day programme of seminars, debates, showcases and networking at venues across London.
Beatrice Cornacchia, Head of Consumer Marketing Europe for MasterCard International, is hosting a talk on how the financial services brand has successfully combined digital investment with experiential, to effect consumer behavioural change through positive emotions.
‘Priceless Experiences in a Digital Age’ will take place on the morning of Tuesday, 1 March at The View from The Shard. Some 50 free tickets are up for grabs at ukeventsweek.co.uk from 10am on Thursday, 28 January.
Cornacchia says: “Today’s connected audience is more reachable in real-time and content is instantly shareable, which should be a dream for all marketers. Technology is enabling us to offer more priceless experiences that help us to form a more valued connection between our brand and the consumer. My seminar will reveal the secrets of how we’re doing this by ‘Connecting People to Priceless Possibilities’ and how we’re seeking the help of the global events and hospitality sectors in order to build on the success we’ve already achieved.”
Other activity planned during UK Events Week, includes a panel discussion on how virtual and augmented reality will impact live events, to be held at Flux London on the evening of Tuesday, 1 March; an audience with Google, Facebook and Twitter to be held at the Conrad London St. James on the morning of Friday, 4 March; plus two separate discussions during Monday, 29 February, among brand CEOs and senior agency heads on how the events industry can improve its offer.
International Confex and EPS Event Director, Liz Agostini says: “It makes perfect sense when the two largest shows are in town to extrapolate from these two days and expand the stage for the UK events industry, providing a week-long forum as a home for debate, discussion, education and celebration of an industry which makes such a significant contribution to the UK Economy.”
UK Events Week is also open to any interested parties who wish to add their own activity and events being held during the week to the ukeventsweek.co.uk website.
