ABPCO to tackle social media at upcoming roundtable event at Exhibition Centre Liverpool

Social media will be the leading topic at the next roundtable event organised by The Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO) which will be held at the new Exhibition Centre Liverpool.

The event will coincide with a fam trip to the city on 8-9 September when members and delegates will have the opportunity to be some of the first to experience ACC Liverpool’s brand new venue.

The roundtable will discuss social media marketing, how to engage with targeted audiences, build brand loyalty, research the market and drive sales. A two-hour session led by Nicola Crossland, a board member of ABPCO previously MD of an international events agency and social media marketing agent for companies worldwide, is designed to offer practical guidance on improving your social media plan.

“Social media is a great marketing tool for events and event organisers. This workshop will offer practical hints and tips to those who have taken the plunge, but need a smarter approach,” said Nicola Crossland.“We will be using plain English to explain how to maximise accounts, build a community and design a social media strategy that will help save time, raise your profile, build brand, generate enquiries and take the stress out of managing your online presence.”

Shocklogic, leaders in online event management software and solutions, will also offer practical guidance on the significance of content and how a solid content strategy is the foundation of an enquiry generating social media campaign.

The Exhibition Centre Liverpool, opening at the start of September, is a 8,100 sqm venue capable of hosting exhibitions, conferences, banquets, concerts and sporting events on a national and international scale. More information on the venue can be found at www.accliverpool.com or www.exhibitioncentreliverpool.com.

Those interested in attending the fam trip and the social media roundtable should book early to avoid disappointment by contacting Heather Lishman (heatherlishman@abpco.org). Further information can be found at www.abpco.org/abpco-roundtable/
