Chateau Rhianfa wins Top Hotel Restaurant of the Year

Published: 19 May 2015

Last night saw AmaZing Venues’ Welsh property, Chateau Rhianfa, pick up the Top Hotel Restaurant of the Year award at the Food Awards Wales.

The Anglesey hotel pipped thousands of nominees to the post at the inaugural ceremony, held at Cardiff’s Holland House Hotel.

The awards aim to recognise the hard work and efforts of the Welsh food industry. Accolades include restaurants, takeaways, gastro pubs, hotel restaurants, cafes and bistros, as well as shine the spotlight on the wonderful local producers who supply their delicious ingredients.

Head Chef Andrew Sheridan and Sous Chef Jacob Smith attended the black tie evening, presented by Capital 1’s breakfast presenter, Polly James.

Andrew and his team were praised for the quality dining experience they offer, using local ingredients where possible; the meat is supplied local farmers, fresh fish and lobster from the Menai Strait and fine cheeses from the Snowdonia Cheese Company.

Restaurant dining at the Chateau offers great service in a relaxed atmosphere complemented by an extensive wine list.

Martin Page, General Manager at Chateau Rhianfa commented: “We’re very proud to say that Anglesey is now home to Wales’ best Hotel Restaurant, and that is without doubt down to the talent and hard work of Andrew and his team who offer diners top quality food and service.”
