April Business is Booming at AECC

Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) is currently experiencing its busiest April since 2009.

Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Council along with Aberdeen International Airport welcomed delegates from all over the world to AECC for the 10th annual Routes Europe event. Delegates from the aviation and tourism industries flocked to Aberdeen for the three day event on 12th-14th April for Routes Europe 2015.

Routes Europe is an essential forum for all companies with an aviation focus, looking to conduct business to, from and within the European region. The event welcomed around 1,100 delegates and numerous airlines to Aberdeen to allow these organisations to meet with the most influential aviation professionals from across the world.

Last night saw the return of the Betway Premier League Darts. Now in its 11th season, reigning champion Raymond van Barneveld is competing with current world champion Michael van Gerwin to become the champion and 3,800 darts fans were cheering them on in the GE Oil & Gas Arena.

Next week, VisitScotland Expo is Scotland’s premier business to business travel trade event offering the perfect opportunity for all companies with a Scottish tourism product to showcase their products and services to potential buyers. Around 600 visitors are expected to attend with 200 exhibitors from various sectors of the tourism industry including hoteliers, visitor attracts and whisky distilleries. VisitScotland Expo will run on 22nd and 23rd April in the GE Oil & Gas Arena and is open to buyers from all sectors of the industry and all corners of the globe.
