Quirky Weddings returns for the sixth time to Belfast Waterfront

Published: 20 Mar 2015

The pairing of Belfast Waterfront and Quirky Weddings proved to be a match made in heaven as the Alternative Wedding Fair returned to the stunning riverside venue for the sixth time.

City centre location, bright airy spaces and fantastic service have helped create a winning partnership. And with plans already underway for the next event later in the year this relationship will continue to blossom and grow.

Earlier this month 2,200 visitors gathered in Belfast Waterfront Conference and Exhibition Centre in search of something unique to mark their big occasion. Being the 2nd largest wedding fair in Northern Ireland, Quirky Weddings didn't disappoint.

Gallery areas featuring floor to ceiling windows showcased over 120 handpicked wedding vendors’ wares in the ‘best of light’. Plenty of natural light was essential to showing off a wide collection of exquisite bridal gowns as well as makeup and hair demonstrations.

Whilst budding couples enjoyed the bright airy spaces to peruse slick suits, elegant dresses, rockabilly hair and many more exhibits, other visitors sampled the fun and festive atmosphere in the Studio which was set up cabaret style with amazing live musicians.

The day ran without a hitch thanks to the team of in-house specialists working side by side with the team from Quirky Weddings.

Cate Conway, co-founder of Quirky Weddings, was delighted to bring her Alternative Wedding Fair back to Northern Ireland’s only purpose conference centre.

“Belfast Waterfront is simply the best venue in the city – it’s perfect for us. This large scale venue boasts a wealth of bright open spaces that lend themselves perfectly to our wide range of dynamic exhibits. Large windows create an inviting atmosphere and the building’s contemporary design exudes a timeless elegance that goes hand in hand with our prestigious image. And not forgetting all the fantastic support received during the run up and on the day which was vital to making our event another all-around success.”
