Openings take place in Bangkok, Johannesburg and Dubai whilst Hilton gets ready to reveal its £30million refurb at London’s Paddington station
AVANI Atrium Bangkok
The Avani Atrium Bangkok opened on 28 November, becoming the first upscale property under the Avani brand to open in Thailand.
The hotel has 568 guest rooms and suites. The top levels of the 23-storey property are Executive Floors, with guest rooms and suites boasting upgraded amenities such as 40-inch LCD televisions plus DVD players as well as office facilities and an Executive Lounge.
Event organisers and corporate guests benefit from seven meeting, boardroom, function and ballroom venues that cater for between ten and 400 delegates, with flexible layouts and seating options.
The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus service to and from the Makkasan Station in Bangkok, which operates an Airport Rail Link every hour.
Just a ten minute walk from the hotel, the MRT subway station links to the BTS sky train system, connecting to everything Bangkok has to offer.

Hilton London Paddington
The Hilton London Paddington will reveal a £30 million refurbishment on 1 January 2015 as it opens the GWR Tower and Tower@Paddington.
The restoration of the former Great Western Royal Hotel at Paddington station will add 56 rooms to its current total of 364, including 28 suites and combines British Victorian architecture with Art Deco interior design.
In addition, the hotel offers conference and meetings space, along with a Brasserie restaurant, Steam Bar and a gym.

The Westcliff Johannesburg
Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff Johannesburg re-opened on 1 December, following a £36million redevelopment.
Four Seasons has spent 18 months refurbishing the property – which offers spectacular views over Johannesburg – including all 117 guest rooms and public spaces.
Event space at the hotel comprises 1500sqm of naturally lit, state-of-the-art facilities, crowned by the 640sqm Arcadia Ballroom with its own terrace.
A further 13 meeting rooms are available individually or as part of a conference suite.
Four Seasons has added several restaurants, including signature eateries Flames and View, and an intimate, wine-focused dining venue Cellar Door.
A spa complex, with nine treatment rooms, 25m lap pool and Après-Spa lounge and eaterie is due to open in January 2015

Sheraton Grand Hotel, Dubai
The 54-storey Sheraton Grand Hotel, Dubai, opened on 25 November in the centre of the Emirate’s business district.
The Sheraton Grand is conveniently located just six miles from Dubai International Airport and boasts 474 rooms and suites, as well as a number of serviced apartments.
There are seven meeting spaces at the hotel’s dedicated conference centre, the largest of which – the Starlight Ballroom – is 360sqm and can take 375 delegates theatre-style or 400 for a reception. An outdoor function space is also available.
Dining takes place in one of four specialty outlets, including signature restaurant Feast or the al-fresco poolside eatery.
